You’ll teach functional skills English and Maths, embedding employability and life skills and have dedicated time for planning and admin work each week working Monday – Friday 9-5.
The program you work on blends education and work experience, preparing learners for employment. You will be based in Kingston. You will deliver 3 days teaching and then 2 days for admin & lesson prep or liaising with the wider stakeholders (such as coordinating with employers, family, or job coaches (who support the young people on their placements).
You preferably have either a Level 3 (PTLLS) or a level 5 (DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent) teaching qualification. If not you need a minimum of 2 years experience teaching SEN learners in a group setting.
Please note the salary for a Level 3 teaching qualification is £28,653 and for Level 5 teaching qualification it is £31,886. If successful you will be put through your level 3 and level 5 if you don’t already have them.
