This is a part-time role based at HMP New Hall, supporting female prisoners and their families through safeguarding and promoting their health and wellbeing. It’s a family friendly charity and a lovely organisation to work for.
As part of this role, you will conduct assessments to plan tailored interventions that strengthen relationships between prisoners and their families. Key duties include facilitating visits, providing support, advocating for families, and coordinating with prison staff and external agencies. You will manage a caseload of 12–15 prisoners and their families.
The role is 18.5 hours per week, with flexibility across the week (e.g., ideal for working around school drop-offs and pick-ups).

About you:
To apply for this role, you should ideally have experience working or volunteering in the criminal justice system. Alternatively, you may have worked in supported housing, resettlement, or a refuge. Suitable backgrounds could include social workers, trainee social workers, support workers, hostel workers, IDVA, resettlement support workers, drug and alcohol support workers, or youth workers.

The full-time equivalent salary for this role is £25,750 per annum. Pro rata for 18.75 hours per week, the salary will be £12,875 per annum, with 14.8 days of annual leave (30 days for full-time).
